As you know, we still have a long way to go to settle the Organ Restoration Fund and need your help in organising and / or participating in fundraising activities.
I shall be selling tubes of Smarties and instead of throwing away the empty tubes would like you to fill them with coins of the realm over the coming weeks.
One Smarties Tube will hold: 79 pennies, 70 x 5p coins (£3.50), 69 x 20p coins (£13.80) or, best of all, 39 one pound coins! You can of course mix the coins and return and refill the tubes as often as you wish!
Those of you who are studying your diets, or perhaps just don't like chocolate, please ask me for an empty tube!
I hope that this scheme will appeal to all age groups and will make a significant contribution to the Organ Fund.
