The main item at the September meeting was the Quinquennial Report and Recommendations, detailing repairs needed to the church, the roof, leadwork and brickwork. A ladder to the belfry, a ramp and canopy at the main church door are proposed; consideration needs to be given to the interior and exterior decoration, the lighting, graveyard, and fencing for the Memorial garden. Some of these items need a faculty and we are now waiting for formal plans from the Architect to be able to apply to the Diocesan Advisory Committee for a certificate.
Father Malcolm asked to be informed of any parishioner who is ill or hospitalised. Some of the Harvest Festival gifts are to be given to the Roberts Centre in Portsmouth. The next PCC meeting is Thursday 19 November.
