As the magazine goes to print £156 has been banked from the sponsored walk and cycle ride on June 30th and the profit from the barbecue and raffle was an additional £89.45. Although our investments (like everyone else's!) have decreased in value we still receive valuable income by way of interest and dividends from them - a total of £712 at the beginning of July. The Wednesday coffee mornings have raised £38.90 and £45.11 during the months of June and July respectively. Advertising income was £44. The retiring collection during July for the Mission to Seafarers raised £133.88 including some gift aided donations, and the Leprosy Mission boxes totalled £44.80 to the end of July. The Inland Revenue have also paid us £37 interest due on previously paid tax refunds. The PCC are currently undertaking a Health and Safety review of the church, hall and grounds and this will inevitably incur some essential expenditure, so far a circuit breaker (£7.25) and additional items for a first aid kit (£28.55) have been purchased. The quarterly photocopier charge was £141.61, piano tuning cost £78 and servicing of gas boilers and appliances in the church and hall totalled £265. LINDA WAINWRIGHT, Hon. Treasurer to the PCC |
