For October I have chosen a reasonably priced pocket reference guide on Bible Study, Bible Study Made Easy by Mark Water. I liked the way the book develops, first looking at the different versions, mastering Bible references and developing the right attitude to reading. There is a section on how not to study the Bible and questions to ask. An explanation too of different bibles helps, eg. commentaries, Bible dictionaries, etc. Other sections include linking the Old and New Testaments, following a chain from Genesis to Revelation and the names and titles of Jesus. There is also a table showing a year's worth of Bible Studies and a a very useful pull out chart of Bible books and themes. Bible Study Made Easy by Mark Water (Hunt & Thorpe). ISBN 185608 386 1. £2.99. Lynn Winter |
