The regular Thursday morning market run by the WI finished at Christmas and switched to being a St George's event. Many of the same people provide the stalls and services but it is now run in the name of, and for the benefit or our Church! Business is still as brisk as ever and a generous cup of coffee can be bought for 40p. A superb range of cakes are available each week as are eggs, vegetables, honey, jams, marmalade, lemon curd, and plants and several craft stalls provide a wide range of items. It is a regular meeting point for many people both inside and outside church and we are looking to increase numbers attending to strengthen its position as a regular feature. Can you support the market with your custom each week? It would really help if you could. |
