Sunday 28th November is Advent Sunday. It marks the start of the special season leading up to Christmas. It is a thoughtful time in which we focus on the coming of Jesus.

Here are a few ideas to help you this Advent:

 Using a colouring picture of the Nativity, colour in a section every time you think of someone or do something special for someone. Hopefully, it will have been fully coloured in by the time Christmas comes.

 Every time you open a window on your Advent Calendar, try to think about a different part of the world and ask for God's blessing on that place and its people.

 Try to attend a special Advent Carol Service. (St George's has one at 6.pm on Advent Sunday).

 Now is also the time to choose cards and presents for your friends and family. Homemade items are a delight to receive. Perhaps you could make some cards and gifts? Always ask an adult to help with hot cooking and difficult cutting out.
