Church Flowers

June and I would like to thank you sincerely for the great response to our plea for flower fund money. To date a total of £180.50 has been collected.

Flowers become more expensive as the year follows through in shops, markets and flower warehouses; the average cost per week for church flowers ranging from £20-£30 depending on the season and occasion. With this in mind we thought we would try to use more foliage to allow the donations to go further.

If you therefore have any foliage spare which you can bring to the church on a Friday morning it would be greatly appreciated. All textures and colours are welcome but please can you inform June and I in advance, so that we can plan ahead.

The next festival is harvest and if you would like to join the flower team you will be most welcome.
