A very short financial update for me to start off with and I hope you will make allowances for me as this is the first time I have done this. Our Wednesday Coffee Mornings have so far generated donations of £50 for Canine Partners, £50 for Seafarers and £50 to FORT (Friends of Oncology & Radiotherapy Trust). We have ordered new envelopes for planned giving which cost £78.82. Half the collection taken at Elsie Slaughter's Funeral went to the Rowans Hospice of £129. Other outgoings are £69.32 - Altar Breads, £61.70 - Candles, £320.31 - Wine/Palm branches/new Corporals. £10,826.46 has been paid to Kattenhorn & Partners Ltd for the work on Church paths (£9707.86) and repair to wall (£1118.60). This was funded by a £5000 grant from Havant Liveability and £5325.31 from sale of shares, plus £500 from St. Georges Players. The May Fayre, on the day, raised £1986.52. Retiring collections: April - to USPG raised £103.64 and for May - to Christian Aid which raised £196.08. And on this note, it would be most helpful if anyone with a little spare time around Christian Aid week could take over the duties of Organiser. This doesn't take up too much time but it would help me greatly. Carol Mckells |
