Naomi House Open Days

Naoimi House

Give a butterfly wings and help us to spread ours is the call from Naomi House Children's Hospice this autumn.

The Hampshire-based hospice is throwing open its doors on 22nd, 23rd and 24th September for its annual open weekend which gives people the chance to peak behind the scenes and see how their support helps make short lives special. This year it is inviting supporters to build a butterfly and give a donation to mark Children's Hospice Week. Butterflies are available during the weekend or to download from www.naomihouse.org.uk

"There are around 3,500 children and young people in our region who have life-limiting conditions that mean that they will not live to become adults," explains Events Fundraiser, Charlee Dyer. "As we approach our 10th anniversary, we want to share our plans to reach as many families as possible who could benefit from our services. By giving your butterfly wings, you can help us to spread ours and help to make short lives special."

"Our open days are a great opportunity to peak behind the scenes at Naomi House to see exactly how the wonderful support of the local community helps us to help local families. And with entertainment and refreshments thanks to our friends at the Foresters Organisation, it's an enjoyable day out for all ages. We won't have any children or families staying during the weekend, so visitors will not be intruding in any way.

Doors open at 10.am until 4pm on Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd September, and from 11.am to 4.pm on Sunday 24th September. The open days coincide with Children's Hospice Week 2006, a national awareness event held from 16th to 23rd September.
