PCC Matters

The PCC met on 15th November. The Treasurer went through the financial report in detail and the nance committee presented their budget for next year. A lot of discussion followed on this before it was agreed to accept the budget.

The working party had met to complete the Ecology Audit which has now been returned. 18 items were picked up and these will be put in priority order and a couple of items brought up at PCC meetings next year until they have been dealt with.

A working party will meet before the next PCC meeting to discuss which Charities we will support for the retiring collections in 2007. The PCC have already agreed that one of the months will be for the Cathedral appeal.

A leaflet had been received advertising the Bishop’s Foundation Course which is a 24 session course, one evening a week for 2 terms on Monday evenings. This leaflet is now at the back of Church if anyone is interested.

Georgie Black, Secretary of Havant Deanery for the last 9 years is leaving the area before Christmas to move to Scotland. She will be sadly missed as she has done a wonderful job. The PCC agreed that St George’s should contribute to a leaving gift for Georgie from the Deanery.
