African Child Trust

We have at last received details of our two new sponsorships. One replaces Evelyn Zulu who has now left school and is awaiting her results before proceeding into the big wide world and the other being our fourth sponsorship reflecting the excellent response we had from Kunle’s visit here last November. Our two new children both live in Tanzania.

We now have 60 sponsors within or attached to St George’s which is excellent. We are the only Anglican parish church in the scheme.

We have also received a letter from Laurentine thanking us for her birthday gift together with pictures of her holding the bag and contents which were sent some months ago.

The Great South run is at the end of October and ACT has booked several runner places this year. They have asked for a volunteer from St George’s to take up one of the places!!. If someone would like to volunteer please let me know. I hope we will all sponsor our runner(s) and be there on the day to support. The date is Sunday 28th October.
