Each month we propose a Sunday ramble which, hopefully with weather permitting, we will walk on the first Sunday of the ensuing month. Eight people turned out for our second ramble on 1st April. The weather was glorious sunshine which made a change. Our route took us through the back of Southwick, across the Wallingford river and up the hill crossing the fields of rapidly maturing oil rape seed plants. The wind was fresh which kept the temperature down and we reached Nelsons monument to take in the glorious view across the Hampshire vales towards the Downs. Our third ramble will be The Meon Valley Railway Walk Distance: 4½ miles
