Philip Beeney

On 23rd June 2009 the funeral took place at St George’s of Philip Beeney, father of Janet Johnson and Margaret Buckland.

Born in 1914, he spent his working life farming, and moved from East Sussex to Waterlooville in 2002 to be close to Janet, where he was able to live an independent life at The Lodge in Lavender Road until the end of 2007 when he was taken ill and moved into Oaklands Care Home.

In due course his ashes are to be interred in the family grave alongside his wife Drucie at St Peter and St Paul Church, Wadhurst, East Sussex.

Janet has written the following words in memory of her father:

Wherever I go, you’ll go with me,
Wherever I am, there will you be.
Till we meet again in Eternity.
For I am of you, and you are of me.
