Geoff and Val Davies - Gold Star Dancing

Geoff and Val Davies are to tutor a weekly dance class at the newly opened Classique School of Dance in Stakes Hill Road, Waterlooville.

Geoff has a dance background going back to 1960 partnering Juvenile Dancers for medal tests of ISTD to gold standard at his father’s dance schools in the Slough/Windsor area. In 1961 he was highly commended at Bronze, Silver, Gold and Gold Bar Ballroom and Gold standard at Latin American awards whilst still a juvenile competitor.

In 1967 he was a member of the Slough Modern Ballroom Formation Team winning the British (Open to the World) formation team title at Blackpool whilst competing in the junior category with his sister Angela, reaching the semi-final at world level competition.

From 1968 to date, Geoff has continued his dance portfolio running dance events including well attended beginners Adult Education classes in Chichester and Denmead.

In 1995 Geoff met Val who attended his dance classes in Chichester. Val is now a Highly Commended medallist at Gold Star level having danced at all the major venues in England.

Geoff and Val are delighted to have the opportunity to realise their ambition to offer dance classes for Ballroom, Latin and Classical Sequence for all to enjoy at this fine new venue in Waterlooville.
