Caring
During a cold September had come the news to
say That two sweet souled women had passed away. Adored and young and
highly born the one, The other elderly, overworked, a nun. They knew each
other well, and they were friends. A princess and a nun yet here their story
blends. The elder one the younger one inspired - So with loving kindness
each were fired To tend the sick and every comfort bring And,
irrespective of whom, relieve their suffering. Striving to prevent the
maiming from the mines. But as with tears I pen these faltering
lines, The princess and the nun, so caring and so nice Will meet again
some day - in Paradise.
