maybe it was the spectacle of the massive Royal Marines Association Concert Band with a thrilling performance enhanced by the intimately small but acoustically perfect venue of St George’s Church
maybe it was the 100 strong choir AChoired Taste with a wonderful programme of popular melodies, and the contrast from the supporting Kopanang with their delightful South African traditional songs and spirituals
maybe it was the blistering, footstomping music of Revel Weird and Wild contrasted with the harmonies of Portsmouth Shantymen and the sheer atmosphere of fun at the Folk and Ale Night
maybe it was the absolutely amazing Sixties Night, what a party that was, a packed dance floor, the audience chanting at the band Out of the Shadows desperate for a final encore, which they gave, and all then heading for home but wishing such a fun evening could have continued longer into the night (the Festival Committee will be looking into that for next time!)
