David George Harrington, DipABRSM – MD

David George Harrington is a composer, arranger and musical director based in Cardiff. He has arranged music commercially for clients including Katherine Jenkins, Connie Fisher, Only Men Aloud, Jonny Wilkes, Aled Jones, Shirley Bassey, and has had music performed by the London Philharmonic and London Concert Orchestra, Welsh National Opera, BBC National Orchestra of Wales, Eminence Brass Quartet and Cory Brass Band, at venues including the Royal Albert Hall and the Royal Festival Hall.

He regularly arranges for Decca Records, Warner Music Group, and has had music broadcast on ITV, BBC, and BBC Radio 2.

With an insatiable penchant for geese and other surreal Ornithothoraces, David spends most of his time watching horror films, making bird noises and causing as much mischief as possible on-stage and off.

Amy Elizabeth Fuller, Soprano

Since graduating from the RWCMD in classical and opera studies, Amy has worked closely alongside David George Harrington to develop the All That Malarkey brand and stage shows. Based in Chichester, she runs a teaching practice working closely with a range of classical and musical theatre singers across West Sussex. Amy has performed all over the UK as a soprano soloist, her operatic roles spanning Cunagonda (Candide) to Julie (Carousel). Her solo performance highlights include St Paul’s, Covent Garden, live on BBC Radio, at the Chichester Festival Theatre accompanied by Her Majesty’s Royal Marines Band, and for the British Embassy in Kuwait as part of the Queen’s Birthday Celebrations.​

Amy is David's wife and hag. He hopes one day she'll think to brush her hair. It's a Pterodactyl's nest.

Eleias Roberts, Tenor

A graduate from The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, Lei has performed in many operatic, musical theatre and newly commissioned pieces. His roles include Don Basilio and Don Curzio (Marriage of Figaro), Male Chorus (The Rape of Lucretia) and Beadle Bamford (Sweeney Todd). His solo performance highlights include: BBC Radio London, BBC Radio Wales, Covent Garden, Longborough Festival Opera and The Wales Millennium Centre.

A wearer of colourful t-shirts, lover of the occasional sausage roll, and with hands that heal the most tense of muscles, Lei will protect you from the most fearsome of foe…except spiders…then he’ll run a mile.

Frances Gregory, Soprano

Mezzo-Soprano Frances Gregory was born in Sheffield and is a recent graduate of Royal Academy Opera, having previously studied at RWCMD. For 20/21 she is a studio artist with the Opéra National de Lyon, an emerging artist at Longborough Festival Opera, and a Handel House Talent artist. Previous engagements include Garsington Opera, where she was a 2019 Alvarez Young Artist, Festival d’Aix-en-Provence, and Glyndebourne. She is also passionate about song, and works regularly with friend and pianist Dylan Perez. When not singing, she is happiest when in a spa with Amy - preferably with some prosecco!

Roland George Harrad, Tenor

Roland George Harrad was born and bred in Bristol and graduated from the Royal Welsh College Of Music and Drama Bmus(Hons) In 2014. He is a member of London Contemporary Voices, and performs regularly with Forbeare! Theatre and Hot Shoes swing band. After a recent move to London, Roland is enjoying expanding his career as a performing artist and singer/songwriter.

In his free time, Roland enjoys yoga and wild swimming and can often be found in the nearest city park frolicking with the dogs.

Formed in 2014, Cardiff based “ALL THAT MALARKEY” has performed at the Wales Millennium Centre Cardiff and other prestigious venues in the welsh Capital City, also at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, throughout the UK, including Covent Garden, the Kings Head Theatre London, Leeds Castle, Goodwood House, The Alexandra Theatre Bognor Regis, The Groundlings Theatre Portsmouth; also on Classic FM, BBC Radio London, BBC Radio Wales (Live), BBC Hoddinott Hall.

Canon Peter Gould was born in Portsmouth, England. Musical education was at the Royal Academy of Music in London where he studied Organ, Piano and Cello. Whilst there he gained prizes for choir training, organ accompaniment and harmony and gained the following diplomas: G.R.S.M. (Lond). F.R.C.O., L.R.A.M. (piano teacher) and A.R.C.M. (organ performer) and has since been awarded the honorary A.R.A.M. He then went to Bretton Hall College in Yorkshire to gain a Diploma in Education.

In 1974 he was appointed Assistant Organist at Wakefield Cathedral and music teacher at Honley High School.  He eventually became Head of Music at the same school in Huddersfield, Yorkshire and also assistant chorus master to the Wakefield Festival Chorus and conductor of the Cawthorne Choral Society. During his time at Wakefield he was involved in many professional recordings and broadcasts with the choir.

In 1983 he became Master of the Music in Derby Cathedral. Initially this was a joint appointment with Derby City Council where he also taught for three days a week in local junior schools. Later this post was abolished and for many years then combined the post with part-time teaching in two secondary schools, Derby High & Derby Grammar. He also had a few piano and organ pupils. His job at the cathedral involved recruiting and training the choirs and playing the organ in services and concerts. He formed both treble lines from scratch, the boys on his arrival in 1983 & a ‘new treble line of girls’ voices’ in 1997. The choirs toured each year, sometimes in England but also in Germany, France & Italy.  The choir sang regularly on BBC radios 2,3 &4 and on television. It sang at least five services every week in Derby Cathedral and has made several C.D. recordings.

Peter has given organ recitals in London’s St Paul’s Cathedral, Westminster Abbey and Westminster Cathedral, Birmingham Town Hall, Kings College, Cambridge and York Minster and given at least one organ recital in Derby Cathedral in each of the 32 years that he was organist there. In his final two years in Derby he toured every Anglican church in the diocese giving short recitals on the 278 different organs. Peter was accompanist to the Derby Bach Choir from 2009 - 2014 and was for 33 years an examiner for the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music. Examining venues have taken him around the world including Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, Ireland and countless venues in England, Wales and Scotland.

He has collected further honorary degrees from the University of Derby in 2009 and in 2012 was made an honorary Lay Canon of Derby Cathedral. In 2013 he was awarded the FGCM by the Guild of Church Musicians and in 2015 the ARSCM.

Peter retired from Derby Cathedral on 6th January after 32 years in post and a total of 40 years of working in English Cathedrals. He is pleased to know that no less than four of his Derby Choristers currently have professional organist positions in English Cathedrals.

Peter now lives just north of Portsmouth and finds that he is doing more organ playing in services and recitals than he ever did in Derby! 12 Recitals played and planned for 2018 include three in English cathedrals and most weeks see him playing for services and choirs around Hampshire.

He has recently become the Chair of Portsmouth RSCM committee, the Vice President of the Portsmouth and District Organist’s Association and is on the council for the Friends of Cathedral Music. When not involved in music he enjoys rail travel and can sometimes be found issuing tickets in the Booking Office of Alresford Railway Station.

All That Malarkey were at the 2019 festival and made such a huge impression that they are coming back at the earliest opportunity. The unexpected hit of the festival week - when we booked them we did not realise just how good they were going to be!

At the 2019 festival, this amazing and talented group simply had the audience completely spellbound. A genius Musical Director and composer, and classically trained vocalists who have performed in classical opera as lead singers at a high level at prestigious venues such as the Millennium Centre Cardiff…  but performing brilliant, completely original arrangements of very popular songs and doing so with much gusto, theatre, comedy and wit… the evening was spent in eager anticipation of what was to come next.

With new material and the same absolutely amazing talent, we expect everyone who came in 2019 will clamour to return, and that they will  spread the word about how thoroughly unmissable this show will be.

With previous performances spanning Classic FM to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, critically acclaimed, ‘All That Malarkey’ is an energetic and eclectic vocal act made up of four slightly unhinged classically trained singers, accompanied by an even more unhinged pianist/MD, who specialise in performing unique arrangements of popular music, jazz, standards and sketches in ways you perhaps never thought possible!

Think Eurythmics, The Mamas and Papas, and The Chordettes mashing into one devilishly frenzied medley. Think Buble meets Gershwin. Think Noel Coward and Tinie Tempah in the same programme.

It’s a musical cocktail of great hits from across all decades, presented with cheek, charm and sumptuous harmonies.
