Christmas Bazaar
We held our Church Bazaar on Saturday 3rd December. Our brightly decorated hall was filled with stalls - including cakes, books, jams and chutneys and crafts. There was a large tombola, a chocolate tombola and a grand raffle.
There was a cafe set up in the small side room and we even had waitresses where needed.
We wore our Christmas jumpers and seasonal music played. A total of £ 1518.98 was raised for church funds.

The much loved seasonal services began on Sunday 27th November with a candlelit Advent Carol Service. We sang carols in Waterlooville Precinct on Saturday 17th December, together with other local churches, and on the same day the Horndean Band held its Christmas Concert in St George’s.
Our Carol Service on 18th December was followed by hot punch and mince pies. The proceedings were recorded by Express FM Radio and broadcast across the airwaves on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
Midnight Mass was well attended and concluded with wine, soft drinks and more mince pies, as was our service on Christmas Day.
As I write this we are already well into January and a new year - but still in the Christmas season with our Christmas Tree and Nativity Scene still in church until Candlemass.
George’s Men Christmas Skittles took place on Friday 9th December. Prizewinners are pictured on the left. During the evening, Albert Ellender presented Fr Mike with a model of a quite merry clergyman as a momento in recognition of Fr Mike’s elevation to the rank of Canon.
