The Tweenies met in September to share music and puddings for an evening of “Dessert Island Discs”. Our desert island music choices included, among others, pieces by Kathleen Ferrier, Bryn Terfel, The Bee Gees, Cliff Richard and Louis Armstrong. Pharrell Williams “Happy” left us with a smile, while Aled Jones caused a tear or two. A range of puddings and cheese and biscuits made seconds inevitable as the choice was so good.
The Tweenies enjoyed a lovely summer afternoon at Hambledon Vineyard where an excellent guide showed us round, explained the history and the production methods and then let us taste two of their sparkling wines.
