Newly Ordained Curate to join St George’s

The Diocese has chosen St George’s to be one of the training parishes to have a newly ordained curate next year. Liz Quinn will join us after her Ordination to the Diaconate at Petertide, that is the end of June.

Liz will be a non-stipendiary Minister.

She brings to us a wealth of experiences which will enrich the life and ministry of our Parish.

She began her working life as a nurse. Her husband Paul served as an Officer in the Royal Navy and together they lived abroad for some time where he was stationed.

Later Liz studied for a degree in Psychology and Theology, and then trained to be a secondary school teacher, after which she taught at Oaklands School.

Liz is currently a Lay Reader at Hambledon Church where she and Paul live. We look forward to welcoming her when she joins us at St George’s next year.
