Platinum Jubilee

I’ve reached the age of sixty eight

But the Queen is ninety six

Who’d believe she’d make this date?

And get us all to mix?

The flags are flying

The buntings up!

“Hurrah!” we’re crying

“Let’s raise a cup!”

There are parties galore

And bazaars and fêtes

Come on, we need more help

From our friends and mates!

Such a long reign

Never happened before

Raise a glass again

And let’s shout once more!

Well done Your Majesty

You are the best

You’ve worked so hard

Now take a rest!
